Loosing weight through accupuncture is moderatly effective. The % for most human bodies throughout a typical month under normal excersie regimins with suppliments, ect, is 1 to 3 pounds per week being lost.

Accupunture allows our body to stimulate areas and chemicals within our body that help accelerate this. However, it is only by about a 3% increase. Done properly it can go all the way up to 5%. However, the amount of weight loss is only boosted by maybe 1 or 2 pounds per week, if that.

The problem with this type of accupuncture, it is needs to be repeated, once or even twice daily. And is not considered a long term theraputic option. Many patients after a typical regimine, regain the weight once the procedure is finally done.

So not that effective in the long run.
